Mobile connectivity provides a gateway to reading, learning and developing new skills. Integrating educational services into data bundles helps bring these opportunities closer to users, making them part of the mobile offers they purchase.
This is the approach behind Pass Live, launched with Orange Côte d’Ivoire. Combining mobile data with access to YouScribe and Busuu, the offering connects everyday connectivity needs with resources for learning and personal development.
Enriching mobile bundles with educational services
Pass Live brings together two offers designed around reading and language learning:
- 1 GB of mobile data + access to YouScribe for FCFA 500, combining connectivity with a digital reading service.
- 400 MB of mobile data + access to Busuu for FCFA 300, pairing mobile data with a language-learning service.
By including these services alongside data, the bundles give subscribers opportunities to explore digital reading and develop language skills through their mobile offering. For educational service providers, this approach also opens a distribution channel to reach the operator’s subscribers.
Supporting discovery through a dedicated USSD channel
The Pass Live bundles are available through a dedicated USSD channel, bringing the offers together within Orange Côte d’Ivoire’s customer journey.
This distribution approach places educational services alongside connectivity, helping subscribers discover them when exploring mobile offers. Combining data and content in a single bundle aims to make these services accessible to a broader audience.
Bringing educational bundles closer to students
To support the launch, a phygital activation took place at the Institut Universitaire d’Abidjan from September 14 to 19, 2026. Complementing SMS and digital communications, the initiative introduced students to the bundles and helped them understand the services included.
This direct engagement connected the offers with an audience for whom reading and language learning are particularly relevant. The activation illustrates the role of on-the-ground engagement in supporting digital distribution: helping users discover and understand educational services is an essential part of encouraging their adoption.
Connecting content, distribution and local engagement
Pass Live illustrates how collaboration between operators and digital service partners can enrich mobile bundles with educational resources. Bringing together connectivity, content and direct engagement creates opportunities to introduce these services to more users.
Through its collaboration with Orange Côte d’Ivoire, Digital Virgo supports the distribution of educational services within the local telecom ecosystem, helping connect reading and language-learning platforms with mobile audiences in Côte d’Ivoire.
