Digital Virgo at the Africa CEO Forum 2025: Driving Innovation for an Inclusive Digital Economy Digital Virgo at the Africa CEO Forum 2025: Driving Innovation for an Inclusive Digital Economy

The Africa CEO Forum 2025 once again reaffirmed its role as the continent’s largest platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors. Held in Abidjan, the event brought together over 2,000 key decision-makers from across Africa and beyond — including six African Heads of State — to address pressing economic challenges and unlock new opportunities for growth.

Reaffirming Commitment to Africa’s Private Sector and Digital Transformation

Digital Virgo was proud to take part in this high-level gathering, represented by Mounia Terhzaz, Regional CEO Africa, and Léandre Kanga, General Director for Sub-Saharan Africa. The event provided a unique opportunity to deepen our dialogue with telecom operators, explore new partnerships, and showcase our commitment to financial and digital inclusion.

Africa is not just a growth market , it’s a laboratory for innovation. By aligning our mobile payment expertise with local dynamics, we are building inclusive digital ecosystems that benefit everyone.

Throughout the forum, we engaged in fruitful discussions with CEOs and directors of leading telecom groups in the region. The strong presence of private sector leaders highlighted the continent’s potential for innovation, particularly in booming sectors such as gaming, e-sports, education, TV streaming, and music — all of which are at the core of Digital Virgo’s monetization expertise.

This year’s edition also shed light on cross-border cooperation, notably through the strategic dialogue between the Ivorian and Moroccan business communities (CGECI & CGEM). These discussions, in which Digital Virgo took part, underscored a shared ambition: to boost regional trade, enhance competitiveness, and create jobs — despite existing economic and regulatory challenges.

Our presence at the Africa CEO Forum was also aligned with the event’s key priorities: supporting public-private partnerships, scaling financial innovation, and accelerating regional integration through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

As we continue to expand across the continent, events like the Africa CEO Forum are vital in shaping impactful strategies and amplifying the voice of Africa’s digital champions.
