Digital Virgo boosts Youscribe’s development in Africa

YouScribe, the largest digital French-language mobile streaming library, partners with Digital Virgo to step up its development in Africa. A strategic distribution partnership that combines Digital Marketing and Direct Carrier Billing. Actions that will foster language and literacy development as well as promoting local publications and Francophone culture.

For YouScribe, Digital Virgo’s digital solutions and expertise are a great way to accelerate and conquer markets on a continent where mobile uses are highly developed.

As a first step, Digital Virgo plans to distribute and monetize YouScribe in Morocco, Ivory Coast and Senegal. The Group rolls out its DV Pass mobile payment solution to enable users to pay their subscription via their phone bill. A simple, fast and secure payment solution which is a real alternative to credit cards especially in the African continent where the use of bank services is not very common.

According to Renaud Ganascia, Sales Director of Digital Virgo Africa “DV Pass payment solution is particularly adapted to the continent young population. We know that more than 170 million students will have to be educated by 2030 in Africa according to UNESCO. We look forward to contributing in a simple, effective and economical way to the development of a digital library open to all. ”

In a large number of French-speaking countries, access to reading, culture and education is still limited due to lack of distribution infrastructures and the cost of paper-based books. YouScribe brings a simple solution to increase access to books with digital learning and reading technologies.

Supported by UNESCO, Bpi and the « Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie » (OIF), YouScribe includes hundreds of thousands e-books, audiobooks, comics, educational material and press titles. Its premium offer is constantly updated with local content (Ivorian, Senegalese, Guinean, Moroccan …).
