Latin America is developing a solid growth regarding the digital ecosystem. With 4G connections becoming widespread and an ever-increasing number of internet users, the digital economy has become key in the sustainable development of the region. The fast adoption of digital commerce and consumption of digital goods and services is becoming a key aspect. This arises an opportunity for telecom operators and merchants to take part of an ecosystem that will favour digital transactions and alternative payment methods as a tool to achieve financial inclusion. We put the spotlight on Paraguay to analyse the specificities of the country and its digitization.
