ClicnScores Delivered an Immersive AFCON Experience
Ahead of the tournament, we upgraded our flagship sports platform, ClicnScores, to support AFCON from day one. The revamped platform provided a complete fan journey through a richer content ecosystem and enhanced UX.

Results achieved during the tournament:
- 30 million users reached since the start of the competition
- Content consumption increased 3.2x during AFCON
These results confirm that the upgraded ClicnScores platform successfully delivered a high-impact fan experience throughout the entire competition.
Premium Sports Access: A Tripartite Partnership in Morocco
During AFCON 2025, Digital Virgo also supported the launch of TOD in Morocco, a premium service aimed at providing seamless access to sports content for fans in Morocco.
Through this partnership, customers were able to enjoy full access to all AFCON 2025 matches on the TOD platform for only 50 MAD, via a simple, secure and frictionless carrier-based journey.
As the technology enabler of this initiative, Digital Virgo delivered end-to-end expertise, including:
- Carrier billing integration
- Secure user authentication via SMS
- Subscription flow orchestration and activation
- A seamless and frictionless customer experience, even during peak traffic moments
This project once again demonstrated how technology, premium content and telecom operators can work together to deliver scalable, reliable and user-centric digital services during major sporting events such as AFCON 2025.
Editorial Highlights and Live Broadcasts
On the TV vertical, we delivered strong editorial visibility for AFCON across our TV platforms. In addition, fans were able to watch live matches through our broadcasting partners, including New World Sport, Arryadia, and Al Aoula.
This activation helped extend the tournament’s reach beyond mobile, reinforcing the value of TV as a major channel for football fans across Africa.
WeCAN – Mobile Activation at Scale
We launched a major mobile activation through the WeCAN app. Designed for major sporting events such as AFCON 2025 and the 2030 World Cup, the WeCAN experience offered users a fun and rewarding journey.
Key features included:
- Daily quizzes to collect points
- Wheel of Fortune for instant prizes
- HTML5 games for bonus points
Users were able to win numerous prizes, including trips to Morocco, reinforcing the value of the activation in driving participation and loyalty.
This activation strengthened engagement and loyalty initiatives, while showcasing Digital Virgo’s capacity to deliver large-scale mobile monetization and distribution projects across the telecom ecosystem.
M6 Broadcast & Interactive SMS Game
The AFCON final was broadcast live in France on M6 and M6+, with an interactive operation orchestrated by Digital Virgo.
As the only free-to-air broadcaster of the final in France, M6 engaged viewers with an exclusive SMS game during each half-time:
- €10,000 to win at the end of the first half
- €20,000 to win at the end of the second half
- €30,000 total prizes
The campaign achieved 3.3 million viewers, becoming the second-largest TV audience of the night in France.
