Acquisitions of DV Urban Convenience (Italy) & Starfish Mobile South Africa
Starfish Mobile is specialized in content and services monetization via telecom payment, in South Africa.
More than 15 acquisitions have been made since the inception
From 2016 to 2018, the Group consolidated its position and accelerated its development with the acquisition of:
- Addict Mobile, a company specialized in mobile acquisition and marketing, dedicated to App publishers.
- Rentabiliweb Telecom, a company focused on interactivity and micro-payment solutions.
- Part of the Telecom Payment and Ticketing management contracts held by Netsize, a Gemalto Group subsidiary in Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.
Acquisition of Cellcast Media (expertise in Mobile internet) and launch of payment solutions
Years 2011 and 2012 were a turning point for Digital Virgo with the acquisition of Cellcast Media. Through this buyout, the Group developed its services (VOD, music, games, etc.) and increased its AdTech expertise – an essential lever for the performance of its online activities.
Footprint Development in South America and West Africa
The group opened an office in Brazil, implemented in Columbia and Mexico, and expanded in the Ivory Coast, Senegal and Togo completing its geographical coverage in Africa.
Expansion in Central Europe
Digital Virgo made the acquisition of Blue Orange in Slovakia and of I-Play in Poland expanding its activities in Central Europe.
Creation of Digital Virgo
Started its activity in 2008, Digital Virgo creation was based on international activities of Jet Multimedia, a company specialized in mobile services, Telecom Payment and acquisition and the acquisition of SFR’s services and content publishing activities.
Located in 8 countries, the Group had a strategy focused on strengthening Digital Virgo’s local presence abroad and expanding its portfolio across all territories.
