A strong Data Stack to support the Performance

In this article you are going to find out how Digital Virgo built its new Data 'super stack’ 100% Cloud with Fivetran, Snowflake and Looker.
Everything about our Data Stack

Why a strong Data Infrastructure is essential?

Digital Virgo’s Data World is made of more than 100 Billion lines of Data coming from 35 000 marketing campaigns, 80 millions € of media buying, more than 1000 advertising accounts, 05 billion transactions and 12 billion interactions with end users…

It is essential to organize this big amount of Data to help our Teams optimizing our Payment, Monetization and Marketing solution. To create this strong Data Stack we chose to work with significant key players: Fivetran, Snowflake and Looker.

A Modern Data Stack Infrastructure

Fivetran, Snowflake and Looker propose a new modern data stack infrastructure that facilitates the share of data among different acquisitions and companies.

Thanks to ELT (as opposed to ETL), raw data is first loaded by Fivetran into Snowflake and directly usable in Looker with minimum latency.

Each branch of Digital Virgo now has access to the same datasets providing a “single source of truth” among the group. Our Marketing, Social Media and Product Teams can access all data in order to support performance.

Data configuration

These new data tools let our Teams to have very fast and precise data on our advertising sources, giving a feedback from 35000 ads in two central places: Tableau for quick BI, Looker for real time and self-service exploration.

Combining Fivetran data “on demand” technology with Looker and Snowflake opens new opportunities and perspectives to improve our acquisition and marketing strategies and gives us eligibility to decode certain functionalities of the ads.

Digital Virgo has a big footprint on Google so thanks to the quality of data, our Teams can analyze our Google ads in the most precise way. This is exceptional freedom that gives Digital Virgo incredible agility to answer all Merchants’ and Operators’ needs.
